HP to rebadge the HTC Feeler / SP3i as iPAQ SmartPhone rw4500?
The HTC Feeler has been out overseas on Euro T-Mo for
a while now as the T-Mobile SDA (not to be confused with the European
SDA Music /
American T-Mo SDA / HTC Hurricane — yes, we know this is
unnecessarily complicated), but it looks like HP's rebadging it as the iPAQ SmartPhone rw4500. If this is in fact
destined for US release it seems kind of silly, considering the US SDA / Hurricane is essentially the same device as
the Feeler, but with a QVGA display (compared to 220 x 176), 1.3 megapixel camera (compared to VGA), and music buttons.
Then again, we are all for more Smartphones, smartphones, and, um, good phones on T-Mobile, so let's have 'em!

uh, when you click the link it has wi-fi, so its at least an htc tornado. question is if its better than a tornado...

This phone has wifi, the Hurricane never had WiFi. This is surly a rebrand of the HTC tornado and it is branded with HP so T-Mobile can sell it.

In additon to the above comments, it is running Windows Mobile 5, instead of 2003.

Cingular is gonna get it's ass beat on the phone thing.
Too bad AT&T wireless is now Cingular. Cingular has always had crap phones and been slow to market with the same CRAP phones.
T-Mobile looks like it is taking over where AT&T left off in the handset innovation department.

I think the phone looks pretty cool.

The article says it's got a VGA camera, the pictures clearly show a 1.3mp camera. Unless they're lying, which I kind of doubt. Wifi makes sense for two reasons on T-Mobile, their Hotspot service and the eventual rollout of UMA technology.

@ Connect Mobiles.
Nokia releasing a competiting phone in the market? Nahh - never - only reason for Nokia to be popular is because theyve been in the market for years.
Boring design and old fashioned software.
If Nokia eventually decides to forget about the medieval Symbian they might stand a chance.
