iPod shuffle 1GB sold out until January

Hope you weren’t planning on gifting anyone with a 1GB iPod shuffle this Consumermas, as word on the street is they’re “sold out for the holiday” and Apple has no plans to replenish them, with no new stock expected until mid-January. Considering mid-January coincides with a wee little trade show known as the Macworld Expo, this news has analysts in a tizzy predicting a new and even smaller version of the shuffle to be announced at that time. We’re thinking… iPod Invisa?
