The hugemongous Gotive H42 PDA

Gotive H42

We were just complaining around the office that all those darn handhelds are so friggin’ small these days that you can lose ‘em to a slight breeze. Well not the Gotive H42, no sir, this monstrosity blames its size on ruggedization and specs, but who are they fooling? Sure, Bluetooth, WiFi, phone, and a 6.2-inch screen is great and all, but we’re not really sure how many people would consider toting a 1.3 pound beast that doesn’t even have a keyboard. Though it looks like that’s probably not a situation most will be contemplating much, since this thing goes for $1600-$3000, based on the configured add ons like GPS or a bar code scanner. There is a dock for the PDA to hook to USB and serial, which seems a bit more where this Windows CE device belongs, but we’re thinking it will be a nice end of level addition to our Katamari ball.
