Ask Engadget: What gadget do you really want for the holidays?
'Twas the Thursday before Xmasand Engadget wants to ask
what gadget you lust for
to accomplish that task... we'd try and go on, but besides being absurdly weak at seasonal rhyming knockoffs (ok, well some of us at Engadget have a knack for it), we think we pretty much just asked what really needs to be answered this week: what gadget(s) do you really want this holiday season? Wait, wait, don't tell us, you want an Xbox 360, right? Ok, so for all those who don't (only) want a 360, be specific -- we want model numbers! And for those who do want a 360, well, shout it out anyway.

Just one thing... The GPH GP2X.
Man this thingy rules, Linux, emulated Games, Video Playback, Sound Playback... uh ah uh ah!
what do I really want for xmas? I really want a nintendo revolution! I know it doesnt come out to nexst year but i want it now anyways!
The interactive R2-D2. I heard it can bring drinks.
Also an InTouch SP-4805 projector.
Fishes,
narco.
Woops, meant to be InFocus.
Do I actually have to have a chance of receiving it? As much as I desire it, I will not be getting a 12-inch convertible SXGA+ Tablet PC (non-Averatec) capable of running Age of Empires III.
I'd also love a VGA PPC phone.
I want to get an iPod with video, an iTrip, and maybe a DS game. What I really want to get is an Apple Powerbook. I'm going to wait until they switch to intel though, so maybe next year.
This little (actually big) baby:
http://www.gateway.com/programs/lcd/?cmpid=index*home*technology*21lcd*programs/lcd/index~~shtml
The gateway 21" Widesceen HD monitor.
As the "One LCD to rule them all"
PC, HD cable Box, the works.
an ipod video
a 360 and a new laptop.
I bought myself so many tech toys this year that i don't really need any more. i am really enjoying my Sonos system and my iPod Nano. if i could have one more tech gift it would be a high-end Alienware system running Windows Vista 5270 and dual-booting Mac OS 10.4.3 OSx86. that's not asking too much, is it?
I want a Motorola SLVR and a v3i and how about a HTC 8125 for cingular. That would a fantastic Cell phone collection for me.
i wanted that HTC universal you guys were giving away (or any other cellphone with mp3 player capablities except the rokr)
Dell 3007WFP (yeah, I know, not out yet...)
XBox 360 Premium
AMD Opteron 165 (s939)
NVidia 7800GTX 512
Access Virus TI
and a whole lot more... :D
A AMD Athlon FX-57, and a ATI Radeon x1800 :D
Stanleys Dual-Purpose Construction flashlight watch! Or the much loved unlocked HTC Universal, or at the very least one of those new roomba's that are more hackable then ever!
I want an nVidia GeForce 7800 GT by XFX
Model #: PVT70GUDE7
It will go great in my system!!
Becker
one of those awsome KitchenAid mixers - with the attachable bread hook!!!
Dell 2405FPW, or rather, the upcoming HDCP variant (yes, I know it'll be stripped off eventually, I'm just impatient).
I lust for the Sprint PPC-6700
HDTV adapter for the Mac. There was one for Pee Cees just released. Drooool.
Honestly a PSP is what I want. Nothing else.
I really want a sony psp with a 2 gig stick. But If I had to choose only 1 thing. I would pick a Sony®VAIO® VA TV-PC Series. VGC-VA10G. So my whole family can enjoy such goodness.
I would like a black 30 GB iPod.
Dell 2405FP
I don't want an Xbox 360. Xbox games (other than Halo) just don't appeal to me. I'm with Marcus; bring on the Rev.
What I'd like for Christmas is some kind of elegant MP3 solution for my car (elegant as in, not featuring wires or flash drives hanging off the dashboard).
ahhh - here we go.
I am dreaming of the TomTom GO 700 all-in-one navigation. Hands-free calling via Bluetooth™: Simply tap the GO screen to accept a call or to make one and talk through the GO while you drive
Door-to-door routing in North America: connected maps of any address in the entire United States and Canada preloaded on a hard disc drive
Assisted Satellite Navigation: allows continuous navigation, even in tunnels.
*sigh* I won't even ask Santa for the service, I'll flip the bill for that!!
i want my first very own hand built gaming PC with all the good hardware:
ASUS A8NSLI Premium
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800
XFX GeForce 7800 GTX 512
Zalman CNPS9500 Cooler
2GB Corsair XMS DRR400
Antec Truepower II 550watts
Dell 2005FPW
I alwasy wanted to build my own computer and i have been saving up for a while now but i wont have enough until well after christmas. oh well, maybe a christmas mirical will happen.
Really, I want...
•An iPod nano
•An iMac G5 (20" version)
•An iSight
•.Mac
One of those new Sony Ericsson W600i Walkman phones would be nice.....or (not really a gadget) an Apple iBook model no.Z0C3 (specific enough?)
What I really want is s decent Nextel Smartphone, Nextel's Motorola i930 is too little too late. How about an iDen smarth phone that isn't motorola. So the gadget I really want for christmas doesn't exist. I'll just have to wait for an xbox 360 or a ps3 then :)

one thing and one thing only: an uncrippled, T-Mobile branded, HTC Wizard, looks like the best phone/pda ever.
Pioneer AVIC-Z1

Been looking out for something like this but when these guys get it right and when it gets slimmer and sleeker it'll be a dream!
It's a bit old, but I really want a freakin' OQO... I've lusted after a real Windows environment that can fit in my pocket, but for around the price of a Palm. Not that an OQO is even close to that price, but at least it's what I want.
The model number is:
Model 01+ Pocketable Windows XP Computer [Dirrect from their site]
"model 01+ ultra personal computer" is how it's displayed in the store, though.
All I want for Christmas is a Nokia N80! I currently have a Nokia 3650 that I have had for two and a half years. And trust me, it is way past time to upgrade!
I'd say stuff that you hate to buy for yourself....
4 GB Memory Stick Pro Duo
SanDisk "Extreme III" SD 2 GB
Dell XPS 600 with all da hook-ups: Creative XFi Sound Card, 256MB Nvidia GeForce 7800 GTX with SLI Technology, Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW, 2 gigs of RAM, 320 GB hdd, dvd rom & dvd burner!!!! i think im not asking for too much! :)
I asked for (and I'm going to receive) a Panasonic Lumix FZ5 digital camera. It looks amazing.
I would really like to have a Buffalo Technology Linkstation 250 GB Network Storage Center (HD-H250LAN)for my home network (http://tinyurl.com/82bcs). I'm running out of space!!! (sounds like a quote from Capt. Kirk?)
a video player, either a black 60gb iPod, a new Zen player, or a PSP with a 1gb+ memory stick.
It kinda sucks watching Arrested Development in Black and White on Podzilla.
Thanks
Either
PNY Verto Dual Channel 1024MB PC4800 DDR 600MHz Memory for my new computer or a HP iPAQ HX2410 128MB Handheld Pocket PC :D
Alienware Aurora m7700 Laptop with AMD FX57 processor, and GeForce Go FX 7800.
All i really want is the new Imac G5. Its just an amazing machine.
I want an HTC Universal that runs a decent operating system (I.e. not Microsoft based). I'd take Symbian or Qt Linux. Perhaps I will just have to settle for the Nokia 9300i when it eventually gets to these shores.
I would want an X-box 360.. except im not in eighth grade. But i could go for a moto Q right about now
Nokia N90
Nokia 770
LG M5500C
Leica Digilux2
Dell 3007WFP
Niro 600
Nixon "The Automatic" watch
I'd really like Sony's DSC-N1. I need a good digital camera. I also would enjoy an Xmultipl FlashPoint MP3 SharePlayer... if it was out.
I want a set of brass knuckles with tazer charges so I can really lay the smack down. If not that, then just peace on earth.
I want a Griffin RoadTrip
A Palm T|X...
An Acura RL with Tiptronic or a ride on a Mig 29 or a free $20,000.00 shopping spree trip to Akiba (Akihabara) or a $20,000.00 bachelor trip...eeggghhhuuummm...I mean shopping spree trip to Rio.
But, since it’s highly unlikely that Santa will ever hook me up with any of those then I’m going treat myself to a new PPC 6700, Xbox 360, and a trip to the Dominican Republic with my wife and kids for a couple of weeks. Hey, sorry guys but I just have to get away from that cruel Boston winter for at least a couple of weeks
