Although it's unlikely we'll be saying "hello" to this Moto stateside anytime soon, the
still-under-development A1200 seems like a design that could be popular in the US, although the similarly-styled
A728 remains
Asia-only as well. This 95 gram (that's lighter than a
RAZR),
keypad-less smartphone does all the usual email, web browsing, and document editing functions, along with playing a
supposed 10 different multimedia file types. Perhaps the nicest feature is the 2 megapixel cam, which doubles as a
business card scanner for impressing all those important players you meet. Some of us can get our scan-on starting in
January, for an unknown price.
I assume it runs Linux?
Yeah it will run linux
Even more pictures can be found on my site http://motoforums.net/?p=24#more-24 (Sorry my last comment didn't post)
I assume it links to my TivO?
I assume it runs Photoshop?
I assume it holograms all my porn?
I assume it teleports back from 2010 when a real convergence device will actually show up?
what's the word i'm looking for.... Oh yeah, UGLY!
runs on linux
How is a "business card scanner" going to "impress all those important players?"
"Thanks for the card....just a sec....just a sec...OK, you can have your card back now."
Wha...?
How does the business scanner work?
That's pretty cool looking.
It would be the perfect upgrade from my Clie TH55/Cell phone combo too!
I think it's quite attractive. It's clean and straightforward, as opposed to the busy, mechanical, angular look of most smartphones.
Looks a bit (at least in shape-cover) like the PalmOS powered QDA700 from Qool Labs Inc.

I like this one. The transparent cover is cool. I almost bought the previous one in the series which is really popular here in China, but since i have a Palm TE already, went with the SE w550c instead.
I still don't have a cell phone, but I would buy this!
