Taunting teenagers have Xbox 360 stolen on video
Funny: Driving several times past a
line of people waiting to buy an Xbox 360 as you tauntingly dangle your brand new 'box out the window.
Not so funny: Your idiot friend drops the 360 out the car window and someone on line snatches it up and runs away.
More funny: Watching this all go down on video.

likely staged
Keith @ Dec 22nd 2005 1:11PM
Hilarious, I laugh and I cry at other's misfortune.
MAZURY @ Dec 22nd 2005 1:11PM
IDIOT!
Brandon @ Dec 22nd 2005 1:18PM
This is staged. This was on break.com about the night of the xbox launch. It is a prank set up by some kids. They have an xbox360 display box and are taunting the crowd with it. Totally fake.

ha ha
ChronoZaga @ Dec 22nd 2005 1:20PM
You know why he dropped it? That Hugenormous power supply was too much for him to handle.
(Sorry, I just had to. And for the record, I LOVE my 360, power supply and all.)
Dan @ Dec 22nd 2005 1:21PM
This has already been done before. Staged

kaze @ Dec 22nd 2005 1:23PM

ben @ Dec 22nd 2005 1:24PM
NSFW? Not Suitable for Women?
phatbhuda @ Dec 22nd 2005 1:26PM
This is definitely staged.
Tony @ Dec 22nd 2005 1:26PM
Yep, it looked more like he tossed it. They should've done a bit better job than that. ;)
Chapman @ Dec 22nd 2005 1:31PM
Yea, it was staged, I was working (at Bestbuy of course) as this happened. These same kids also went to a circut city right down the road and did the same thing.
Chris Becker @ Dec 22nd 2005 1:56PM
Haha, that just proves how stupid people are. Ass, i glad he got it taken!!

khamel @ Dec 22nd 2005 2:17PM
is NSFW supposed to stand for not suitable for women? i've never seen that acronym before and seeing as how its rather pointless as it is, why not go full-bore and make it NSFWOC?
Brian @ Dec 22nd 2005 2:20PM
'Haha, that just proves how stupid people are. Ass, i glad he got it taken!!'
um...yeah...
Dustin @ Dec 22nd 2005 2:23PM
Totally staged. And the camerman won't be getting in Oscar's for his acting ability. I love the "lucky I had my camera out" dumb ass. If you're going to stage something do a better job.
Jeff @ Dec 22nd 2005 2:25PM
Not Safe For Work
Clearly an empty box. Listen to it hit the ground.
bob @ Dec 22nd 2005 2:29PM
i think it means "not suitable for work", which is completely valid with the language in the contents of the video.
Randy @ Dec 22nd 2005 2:29PM
Wait guys, follow the box as it falls out the window. It's not the same one that the guy in the red sweater picks up. Correct me if Im wrong.
LC_ @ Dec 22nd 2005 2:31PM
Xbox 360: $400
Dropping an Xbox 360: -$400
Having someone steal dropped Xbox 360 and getting it on video: Priceless.
DM @ Dec 22nd 2005 2:40PM
NSFW = Not Safe For Work.
Jeeze a little touchy eh? What would NSFWOC mean exactly?
wtfunkymonkey @ Dec 22nd 2005 2:44PM
wow, the guys at engadget are even more gullible than the people waiting in line.
khamel @ Dec 22nd 2005 2:51PM
ah. makes a little more sense. i didnt have the audio playing so i wasn't aware. my bad. i've still never seen NSFW but i've just had some knowledge dropped on me so i wont make that mistake in the future.
Jody @ Dec 22nd 2005 3:34PM
Ha. It seems like even if that was staged its a really bad idea to drop a xbox.
As far as it being real or not. Its probably not. Its kindof lucky that guy just happend to be walking past when they dropped it, the car wasn't going that fast so it wasn't on the ground long before the guy hopped out.
If it is real - badass. If its staged... who cares its still funny. You know the people in line were still all like 'WTF'?

Ultra hilarious.
falcom @ Dec 22nd 2005 3:55PM
welcome to last month at break.com
if you are going to repost something, get your facts straight.....natch.
Pat @ Dec 22nd 2005 4:11PM
You're wrong. It's the same box. Did you think all the people there would have not noticed the identical box that was already on the ground.
Jared Dilg @ Dec 22nd 2005 4:29PM
As Dan pointed out, it's staged, but I find that even funnier!
BDK @ Dec 22nd 2005 4:54PM
Yea it was awesome watching a mostly out-of-focus video.
Averill Riggs @ Dec 22nd 2005 5:29PM
they is probably staged....but its still so f**king funny....lmao
VQH @ Dec 22nd 2005 5:31PM
This is so old...
Anyway.. A little off topic. Can you guys increase the left and right margins/padding for the comments. The lack of padding of the left and right side seems odd with the top and bottom.
Dissent @ Dec 22nd 2005 6:03PM
The video is boring, but all the people complaining about the "Not Suitable For Women" comment is ROFL.
(ROFL = really obnoxious feminist lunatics)
icerabbit @ Dec 22nd 2005 6:46PM
A really bad fake with an empty box.
sheepbyte @ Dec 22nd 2005 7:28PM
Haha. They deserved it. Rock on. You know this link was on google web clips in gmail???
Dolomite @ Dec 22nd 2005 9:17PM
This was totally staged.
IngenRa @ Dec 22nd 2005 9:18PM

Schuby @ Dec 22nd 2005 10:20PM
It's been done:

Schuby @ Dec 22nd 2005 10:39PM
We did this already:
http://www.schuby.org/blog/18/
In fact, someone put our video on Break.com without the credits.
Schuby @ Dec 22nd 2005 10:40PM
Double comments for the win!
My fault, I thought my original comment didn't make it...
Alex @ Dec 23rd 2005 3:50AM
No5 Brandon: You can hear the box as it hits the ground, and it does make an xbox-being-dropped noise.
Also that one kid sums it up great - "that sucker ain't light either"
I don't care if it's staged, it still made me laugh
Dr Rock @ Dec 25th 2005 7:57PM
khamel,
Try using google next time before making a total fool of yourself.
bbqchips @ Dec 26th 2005 8:34AM
What's worse: the people waiting in line to buy a video game machine or the people who stage a scene like this to impress them?
