Newgen Mega-X cellphone...yes we said cellphone
Well, they did it before, now Newgen put the surprise on again
with their new Mega-X Phone...yeah, that a freakin' cellphone! Taking a design queue from Sanyo's Xacti, this dual-band GSM
900/1800 GPRS phone features a 45-degree mounted 1.3 megapixel camera, 128MB of onboard storage, and 1.8-inch 26k color
LCD display. Flip the LCD open and you've got a fully functional video/still cam or MPEG-4 media player. Close the LCD
and those dedicated buttons allow you to playback MP3s and view track data via a second, 96x48 external display. Too
bad it doesn't rock any external expansion and is limited to just 2.5 hours talk time or we might bite. Expect the
Mega-X to begin shipping "this month" which gives 'em about a week to get their shiznit together. More pics
after the break.

Does anyone know anyone who has actually BOUGHT a Newgen cellphone? I'm not being coy here. I'm genuinely curious.

I was going more for "showing marked and often playful or irritating evasiveness or reluctance to make a definite or committing statement" i.e. I was not trying to playfully/evasively say "Newgen phones are bad" or anything like that, just genuinely asking if anyone knows anyone who bought one.

I love an intelligent woman with an alluring name, but not enough to buy her an unknown and untested phone ...

Hopefully they will sort out their software and wont have the same problems as the Newgen C-800. The amount of faulty phones we've seen come back is unreal.
