Linksys has another SIP WiFi phone in the works?
Looks like Linksys isn't done with WiFi phones just quite yet -- looks like they've got a
SIP WiFi-phone coming down the pipeline. As listed on the FCC, this device will apparently rock 802.11b/g with 128-bit
WEP, WPA, and WPA2 security, and have SIP v2, a 1.8-inch color display, 16MB flash memory, and support for POP3 and
SMTP email. No word on when this is due or a model number, but we'll hit these guys up in a few days at you-know-where.

Looks very much like an HTC smartphone, perhaps Linksys asked HTC to make them a wifi phone? Everything from the joystick to the speaker looks like an SP3i. I wonder if it'll run Windows mobile?
When will we be able to reuse our cells with wi-fi at home? There was some talk about Motorola introducing a hybrid cell/voip model this year but nothing came out of it.
I know some smart phones have wi-fi but are the applications there to make seemless calls?
This is basically a 'router' with cellphone features. Something linksys doesn't need to be headlining into.
Tiviphone by Sillyant allows you to do VOIP over GPRS/UMTS on symbian phone... even if you have a flat GPRS plan it has have a cost.
This wifi phone instead could be even cheaper!
Only downside is that I have to change phone from mobile to wifi... hybrid system would be much better IMHO.
Finally a WiFi phone with WPA/WPA2 support!
Very nice, now when is one comming out with a GPL firmware!
