Nextlink introduces Bluespoon Spider Bluetooth headset
Looks like Nextlink is set to introduce the Bluespoon Spider at CES this
week, a Bluetooth stereo headset designed with both music and cellphone use in mind, not to mention VoIP apps. The
foldable headphones have a built-in microphone and a one-button "joystick control" for operation in use with
A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile -- aka stereo Bluetooth
audio) and AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile, which does pretty much you think it does). Talk time and
streaming music time haven't been announced yet, but the device features direct charging from the USB port and an
operating range of up to 300 feet, Bluetooth reception pending, of course. No word on price either, but we'll be sure
to figure out from NextLink what's up at CES this week.[Thanks, Oskar]

Hey, while I am waiting for this to be released, and waiting for a Bluetooth iPod, does anyone know if there are any Class 1 headsets out there? I don't mean A2DP, I just mean regular handsfree headsets. I can't find any!

Looks similar to my iMuffs (http://www.wi-gear.com) except without the designated iPod support. You don't realize how nice wireless headphones are until you wear them for a few days, but I agree with posters 1+2 that we should wait until our MP3 players include built-in BT support before getting wireless headphones. (the BT transmitter for my iPod broke after only a few days of normal usage)

Of all devices, this should be solar power aided, like the solar headphone radio by Iowa Thin Film.

If that remote control profile can control the Windows Media Center interface, that would be extremely cool! Then when my K-JAM gets the A2DP profile we'll have stereo audio and phone functionality there as well. Woo hoo! I wish these stereo bluetooth headsets were more low-profile though.
