Samsung YP-Z5 flash MP3 player with 1.8-inch display
Samsung is next in line with their
pre-CES announcements today: the YP-Z5 flash MP3 player. It comes in 2 or 4GB flavas and features a 1.8-inch LCD
display apparently for viewing, uh, pictures. It supports MP3 and WMA playback for a whopping 38-hours on a single
charge and sports Samsung's DNSe Digital Natural Sound Engine which is said to create a more accurate and natural
sound. Expect this sweet little player to ship sometime in the first half of 2006.

Who's that on the screen? She's hot!
lol..
heh lol...
that looks like the gigabeat without the crosspad and a smaller screen
is this a cell phone ?
Can you spell "j-a-i-l-b-a-i-t"?
Will that replace my nano?
i will not purchase another samsung player. the t7z has trouble playing vbr mp3s... seriously... that's a pretty basic thing to fuck up on. Sometimes when shutting off the mp3 player while it's on a vbr file, it will freeze when you turn it on. the only way to get it running again is to delete the file (reset doesn't work). that's great, especially when it's in the morning and i'm on my commute to work or school. they've known of this problem for at least 6 months now and they've done nothing.
if they want to be considered a top tier company (and charge for it), than they need to offer the support a top tier company offers.
so what the hell is this doing under cellphones category

This looks to be my next MP3 player. I've desired a working MP3 player, but have many, many things against Apple, so anything "iPod" is out. This looks to have the design nice-looking-ness of a Nano, but more friendly to us PC people. (WMA, MP3... Play For Sure!?)
Also the battery life on the Samsung products are generally pretty good.
Now here's hopping they can beat out the Nano pricing...

Actually im more concerened with whether or not it will be recognized by the computer as a flash drive because i use linux instead of windows and prefer that method of file transfer... i could care less about this plays for sure crap. wma's bite anyhow.
Damn, is the silver lettering on the black one bright enough? I guess they were worried people would look at the screen and not their advertising logo beneath it. So, they had to make it as bright and shiny as possible.
