The Linksys WVC54GC-UK wireless web cam spies sans PC
Linksys is dropping a new 802.11g wireless web cam, the WVC54GC-UK, that serves up its own imagery without needing PC to interfere. You'll still have to drag power out to whatever remote, Ethernet-free location you might want to be surveying, but from there the cam can send text messages or call you up if it spies some motion. You can also access the imagery via your phone over MMS, so get prepared to learn just how boring everyone you live with is when you're away, Mr. Life-of-the-party web cam purchasee.
