Pioneer's CES booth tour
Pioneer is all about the HD this year, announcing their 1080p PRO-FHD1 50-inch plasma, the BRD-101A Blu-ray burner, and the BDP-HD1 Blu-ray player. We took a stroll through their booth and shot a few of the highlights, though you really need to peep these devices for yourself to understand the sweet resolutions in force here.

EVERYTHING seems to be about blu-ray, nothing much about HD-DVD at all....is this a sure fire hint of which way most of the other comanies are going to 'vote'?

Yeah they'll need that picture quality comparison in every Best Buy/Wal-Mart/Mall in America to convince the masses they need Blu-Ray...

These reminds me of the VHS vs Beta format wars. I think the best way is to back a single format so that all companies may direct their efforts towards a unified system.

if not then we have to wait for players that support both Blu Ray and HD DVD. if that is even possible.
