We'd put this in the "yet another Skype-certified" category except the Jawbone PC Edition is
the only one that adjusts the sound quality 868 times per second. We caught up with Aliph, the company that makes this
yapper, over at Showstoppers here in Vegas. The award-winning design was updated
since we last saw it as evidenced by our pic above of the
Jawbone on one of the Aliph peeps. We got a chance to give it a listen as well and the clarity was indescribable. $80
later this month gets you the Jawbone PC Edition with USB 1.1 and 2.0 support.
And just where is the Mac love? Seems like just a small portion of Skype handsets play with Macs. Hopefully the will release a driver for us 4.364% soon.

i've had no problem using several skype headsets on the mac. they've all been natively supported, it's just another USB soundcard. i'm hoping "pc edition" actually refers to the fact that it's USB rather than audio jacks.
i'm using a plantronics dsp unit on the mac at the moment, it's fantastic.. but given the size of this "jawbone", i'd swap in a second.
by the way, clicking the "read" link yields a you-must-be-signed-in page. check bugmenot.com for working logins.
Actually, from what I understand this product does work with MACs. It has both Mic in and Audio in along with a USB plug... So no drivers neccessary.
"hello, tech support. How may i help you"
Where IS this thing? "later this month" does not seem to be happening...
