Hands-on with the Inno XM2go player from Pioneer

We got to spend some quality time with Pioneer's new Inno portable XM2go radio, and found it to be a nice, usable player. The device has a responsive, if bare, interface, and though the buttons are unintuitive at first, we soon got the hang of it. You can reportedly get 50 hours of media on the 1GB flash memory, and the good news is that recording and the scheduling of recording is completely unrestricted (according to all the Pioneer folks we've talked to, and unlike the lameness of the Sirius S50) so you can schedule and record XM music, XM talk, and FM radio all you want, with a 40 second buffer to make sure you don't miss anything. We couldn't get a word on the display resolution, though we wouldn't be surprised if it's about 160x160. The brightness is acceptable but nothing notable, and you can put JPEG video on the player for a bit of clip playback. The Inno is integrated with the Napster music download service to tag songs for download, claims 10 hours battery life for playback and 6 hours while recording, and comes with a car kit, home kit, and case with purchase. The Inno has a docking port on the side and flips the screen when docked.

This is a slightly less portable version.
