Kodak's CES booth tour
Kodak's new logo was nowhere to be seen at the company's CES booth, no doubt because the branding was unveiled after the show opened (though we can't help but think that any company serious about its image would have gremlins updating the booth while the rest of us sleep to bring it up-to-date). Also missing — or a least playing a secondary role — were Kodak's cameras. The focus was very much on what consumers can do with photos once they're taken, rather than on taking the pics themselves.

Using an Xbox 360 to display a Kodak image gallery.
The latest version of Kodak's drugstore printing kiosk, which supports Bluetooth and IR for quick printing from cameraphones. Crowds were lined up at CES to get free prints out of this one.

Kodak's vision of the perfect home, with wall-to-wall pics, and two fridges to provide enough space for those not worthy of wallspace.

Piles of prints.

One of the few Vegas-themed booth events. Kodak's Hold 'Em table let visitors play to win Kodak products.

Ah ha! So, Kodak does still make cameras!

Ok, first public usage of the new logo...and it's in the wrong font? Nice going Kodak.

For as bumpy as the consumer market has been for Kodak (though their new set of cameras seems like a move in the right direction), most people tend to forget that Kodak is an essential company for many photography (and, therefore, publishing) professionals.

Ummm, the main picture in your post *is* the new logo.

That's not their new logo is it?
Infoclipper @ Jan 8th 2006 4:23PM
Anyone else think they should have just used the logo shown in the first pic? It has all the elements of the new logo, but without the crappy font...

You're right. I was a little quick on that one. The "d" isn't rounded. It looked the same with the yellow lines.

The new Kodak logo is not the one in the first picture.

My friend and I won 2 EasyShare One cameras playing Kodak Holdem. Best booth ever, they even gave us four charged batteries and a demo of the camera. Excellent. My friend and I played with the cameras all over the show floor and sent lots of traffic to the booth. Best swag ever!

Best booth ever! The Dealer was super hot and made me feel special. He actually pushed me around for an hour in my wheelchair. AND I won a camera.
Hold 'em... I'd love to!

The New Kodak logo doesnt relate to the digital space, its still about film, they are in time warp.

Kodak digital sales made up 54% of total revenue for 2005, marking the first time in the companys history that digital revenue exceeded film. The news came on the same day that the company reported that total losses for this year could top $1 billion, after the fifth consecutive quarter of losses - due mainly to the restructuring that the shift to digital required. On the positive side, sales of Kodak digital cameras are up.
