onthegoLIVE streams TV audio to any phone

While we heard this next product rather pejoratively dubbed the "Ghetto Slingbox" in the CES press room, we still think being able to stream your TV's audio to any telephone is a fairly interesting concept. onthegoLIVE is a small device that connects to your TV's audio out and a standard phone jack, features a learning IR transmitter for command control, and allows you to dial in from any cell or landline and change channels or options via a voicemail-like interface. Even better, you can set the system to call you at a predetermined time, so you never miss your favorite team or the latest episode of Being Bobby Brown. Available February 1st for three Benjamins.

"Ghetto Slingbox" is such a great name. You guys should tell them about the name up front in their booth.

It even looks ghetto.

Great. now we just need something to remind us to set the box to remind us when our show is on.

Hm, price will be a little steep but it gives the telemarketers something to listen to.

I was actually part of the design team that went to Radio Shack to spec out the components for this device. We got a great deal on those project box enclosures and the assorted jumbo bag of LED's.

Audio only? Am I reading that correctly? No thanks - I'll stick with my Slingbox.

I saw this demo at the show. It works!
No DSL required, no software required, and it will work on any phone, wireless or not. I could not believe my eyes. It's audio streaming my grandma could hook up.
