Meta, 2006 Weblog Award nominations now open!
Well, it's that time of year again! New Years
festivities behind us and having buckled down tight for CES, the sixth
annual Weblog Awards are almost upon us. Now, we're not about to solicit any of our dear readers for a nomination or
anything, but if we should happen to find ourselves nominated for, say, the Best Computers or Technology Weblog, Best
Writing of a Weblog, Best Group Weblog, or, ahem, Weblog of the Year awards, well, it'd certainly set our little hearts
aflutter. These noms close tomorrow night (Tuesday Jan 10th) at 10:00PM EST though, so, um, do ya thing!Yours truly,
Engadget

Done, done, done, and.... Done!
I'm not voting. What does one vote matter?
so I also just nominated you guys for some which I think you are totally worthy, but I am confused...
Didn't you just receive Tech Blog of the Year for 2005? And wasn't that like three weeks ago? I'm thinking these are different awards, but I'm not totally sure because I can't find the other site.
I'll vote for Engadget. For sure. It's the site I vist the most and has become a powerful force. At what point though does this site become something other than a blog? I mean, I appreceaite the blog like nature, but this site has become more than a web log of peter's personal gadget obsession. It's a machine! He has employees, sponsorships, owned by AOL.... its a function of success, but at some point it's not fair to other individually run blogs. Anyway, just my .02 cents.
Andy
Done and done. Oh and Buck Q - that's really lame...
Actually yes, we did post to have people vote for us in The Weblog Awards -- a different award than this, The Bloggies (also called the Weblog Awards), believe it or not. Go figure. Thanks!
Best,
Ryan
are you guys AWARD hungry, or what?
You know you're the best whether we vote for you or not... Besides, what good are bragging rights if you don't brag? You were voted as best Tech blog a couple of weeks ago by DigitalReviews.net and haven't seen you crow about it...
I think I even mentioned it to Peter (http://digitalreviews.net/news/tech-sites.html)
Anyways, yeah, I'll vote again!
