This is a good thing; and I'm sure we're going to be seeing a lot more of this sort of product. And why not? It's got video; a nice big screen; a third more GB than the closest ipod; and it can play good old free roms. The idea is great, but I have to admit I'd have a hard time forking over $600 to "polaroid". Or rca, or nexxt (or whatever), or tandy... It just isn't a trustworthy brand imo. And polaroid might want to tweak the design a bit. Gamepark's got exactly the right idea with the gp2x. Now if that thing had 80 gigs, well then I would have to go buy one.
The X-Fi3 keeps with the company's commitment to audio fidelity, thanks to the apt-X codec, which supposedly offers audio quality similar to a wired connection when streaming. On that front, the device also handles FLAC files.
