You have a dinky little RF remote-controlled car. CES has a full-size, tricked-out Honda Civic that can be
controlled over WiFi by a PSP. And we're not just talking about amateur moves like honking the horn or changing the
radio station--you can actually drive this Civic (illegally, we presume) down the road using Metro Electronics in
America's wild mod. As if piloting your car from the comfort of your sofa wasn't enough ("Civic, time for a beer
run"), when you do feel like getting behind the wheel you'll be carting around a virtual Best Buy, as this
Frankencar sports an eye-popping 24 LCD screens. Obviously this little proof-of-concept is not/never will be for sale,
but an MEA spokesman quoted a fantasy world price of around $250,000.

hi my name is David
and how much is the new car cost
from David
Wow!
The guy got skills, he turn a $10,000 crap and transformed it in a $250,000 udriveable crap! awesome.
Sorry to be a toolbag, but the BMW in Tomorrow Never Dies is controlled by a Nokia phone - similar in looks to the Communicator
I'd rather have this:

It may not be RC but its still cooler and (much) cheaper.
Plus you can actually buy it, and customize it with REAL (providing they're legal in whatever state you plan on buying/using/registering them) GUNS.
""""what an ugly pimped car!!!
Man man, if I had to drive in one of those, I'd go nuts... completely insane"""
whoever sed dis is a complete wankbag! your obviously not meant 2 drive it!!! people like that anoy me!
...until someone turns on a microwave, you lose your wifi connection, and it starts mowing people down on the sidewalks.
This seems like something out of a rap video or episode of "Cribs." What a waste -- 24 LCD screens.
Remote control cars via Wi-Fi, huh? I can hear it now:
"Sorry Mr. Jones, I couldn't get to work yesterday – some nerd gave my car a virus."
I always thought civics were cool!
Nice, but not nearly as classy as the BMW 750 controlled by James Bond's Erickson mobile phone in Tommorow Never Dies.
WHY?
that car is hot, and thats a good one Allen (#2) someone gave my car a virus
One word comes to mind...
Ricer.
"yo ride jus' got PIMP'd!!!"

I agree with you completely. That BMW was M E A N!!! But this civic isn't cool unless its pumping massive bass down the street. A few missiles and guns and a jet engine would be cool too. :)

The colors, aaaaaah!

Wait, so it is powered by wifi? I'm confused...
I saw it in CES but didn't think much of it. After you seen a couple of these wild, undriveable trailer queen car stereo company demo cars...you've seen them all.
I also noticed in the full article that the Civic engine was yanked out, what's powering this thing now? A more environmentally friendly R/C car engine controlled by the PSP? :P
