SanDisk hits 1GB MicroSD, 2GB MiniSD
Once known as SanDisk's own TransFlash standard (which was not only adopted by the SD Association as their smallest memory standard, but garners the distinction of being Engadget's very first post), MicroSD officially hit the 1GB from the company that birthed it. SanDisk also launched a 2GB MiniSD, though it's neither the first nor the largest. You can get your Micro on for $120 MSRP, or $200 for 2GB on the Mini tip.

So... how long until 4GB/8GB miniSD?
Who makes MiniSD larger than 2GB?
Has anyone used the 2GB miniSD card by "TOPRAM" ? those look cheap, but they go for about $150 on ebay.

I've ordered a TOPRAM mini SD, but haven't received it yet. It's actually made by Samsung.
I'm interested in the 1GB microSD - anyone know when these are planned for release?
The company TEC, which I think was the first to release 2GB miniSD cards, should be able to produce 4GB miniSD cards around now (I think they said January 2006 last time I checked). Can't remember their homepage, give them a search.
When will they release a nano SD card?
This MicroSD will go great with my New T-Mobile t809 because I will be able to store lots of music and pics. I love the way technology is growing. The cost is high, but how convenient.
yes indeed jovan.... it will go mighty fine with my slvr v8. just no megapixel camera.... maybe a shoulda got a v1050?
oh well... and before you noobs who don't read ask, yes micro sd is the same as T-Flash (transflash)
I thought there was a finite limit for max capacity of SD memory of 2GB based on the addressing protocol used in MMC/SD? Anyone?
A guy in TOPRAM tell me to refer the 2GB miniSD compatibility on this URL

I guess my new phone will work fine then ..
So expensive!
I would have thought if you can get a 1GB SanDisk MiniSD card (NEW) on ebay for around $45 - $55, you should be able to pick up a 2GB one for about twice that. But no, it has to be four times that.
