Extremely nice laptop.

Can anyone shed some light on the Core Duo processors? If Apple talks about a 1.83 GHz Core Duo processor, is the 1.83 Speed being splitted by those 2 cores, or do you actually get 3.66 GHz of processing speed power? If the last is true, why don't dey announce that 3.66 GHz number?
