and announces how crappy your last shot was, 'cause we really need some wise-ass device telling us we just sliced the
ball into the snack bar. Even though it's marketed as a training tool, the Hook/Slice Talking Swing Meter does nothing
to improve your game but lots to crush your confidence. Great fun for screwing the jerk in your foursome, but that's
about it. At $18, it's more than $17 overpriced.[Via TRFJ]
LOL! On the flip side you would have thought that the company behind the Talking Swing Meter would also be selling a "mental golfing" program on DVD or something.
You know, after the TSM has crushed whatever confidence you have, they could sell you the "this will fix you" solution ;-)

i believe this device is for the "big wigs" that have offices large enough so you can do a full golf swing...
you know like air guitar, its air golf, and you have no way of knowing if its a good shot or not. the little device sounds quite cool actually...
Interesting, on the same site there is a laser golf swing tool. I would hate to be in the office where this was being used. Every one would be seeing red dots :)

And what type of warranty can have a device such this?
Hopefully the device doesn't throw off the balance of the swing, otherwise you can't be certain how it affects you. Is that a variation of the Heisenberg Uncertainty principle?
It was out last year in Ireland and my brother bought it as a stocking filler for our Dad. Thats pretty much as useful as it gets, a few laughs around Christmas. Anyone who thinks they will play better golf after using it is gonna spend alot of time walking through forests and digging sand.

Meter was copied from! Actually, an early version of
SNAPSHOT was copied incorrectly which causes the
Hook/Slice Talking Swing Meter to output the "Slice"
sound in all but severe hook swings! The following
website: http://www.snapshotgolf.com shows the newest
mod of SNAPSHOT which includes an led indicator for
showing precisely where peak clubhead velocity occurs.
