New LCD claims brighter outdoor viewing
If you've
ever found yourself squinting in vain at an unreadable display on a digital camera or cellphone on a bright, sunny day,
help may be on the way. BOE-Hydis of Korea is showing off a new LCD that the company claims provides sharper, brighter
images than existing displays. The new TFT display has a contrast ratio of 700:1, 260 nits brightness and a 180-degree
viewing angle. According to BOE-Hydis, enhancements that have improved the display's viewability include removing the
black matrix, which divides red, green, and black pixels and lowers transmission. New polarizers equipped with
anti-reflection films are also used.

I'd like to see the person that can read that at 180 or 0 degrees

"divides red, green, and black pixels"
Black pixels?? I never knew that was what RGB stood for.

180 viewing angle... that means that you can't read properly when behind the camera? _

Well seems like a good idea. My eyes won't hurt anymore.
By the way Nobuyuki RGB stands for Red Green Blue.
