Acogito's ACO-200HD brings remote scheduling to HD land
Sure we've seen remotely controlled PVR scheduling already, but Acogito is taking it all HD with their new ACO-200HD unit. Their control technology is called RCXML, and since it's based on XML it's nice and accessible -- and probably moddable -- and can be used by most any device that can access the internets, be it traditional or over WAP. We'd have to see this all hands-on to get a feel for its effectiveness, and since we can't find price or availability on 'em, no word when that will be, but so far their offering sounds pretty good, and, well, HD!

I sent an email to the company and this was their response...
Dear Mr. Mendelson,
Thank you for your interests in our product.
As announced, we plan to launch our product in U.S. from July 2006.
The product launch into the EU market with SD PVR wil be two months earlier.
We expect that the retail price for ACO-200HD would be around $700-$800, considering that the retail price for TiVo's Series 3 model would be around $800-$1000 from late 2006. As you probably know, TiVo's Series 3 model has very similar spec to ours, but we offer ACO service additionally.
Thank you again for your interests and please do not hesitate to contact me for any question that you might have.
Best Regards,
Angela
