Fujitsu's best laid drive plans, 2006
A 200GB 7200rpm
2.5-inch laptop drive, a 2.5-inch 147GB 10,000RPM SAS (serial attached SCSI), a 300GB 13k RPM 3.5-inch SAS drive, and a
120GB 1.8-inch drive (the kind used in iPods, for example)? Why, it could only be Fujitsu's hard drive plans for 2006 -- and be they best laid or
not, we're liking the way they're thinking. And you badmouthed perpendicular drive recording.[Via Akihabara News]

WOOT....heres to 120 GB IPODS!!!!!
YAY!
Their site says 3.5" 147gig SAS
My personal oppinion is that perpendicular recording the future of the HDD. It will dramatically increase plate's capacity. Of courcse that there's some current problems that will be solved very soon.
Thank you captain obvious.
hahaha
300GB 13k RPM 3.5-inch SAS drive! ... 1 word, FINALLY!
I've been waiting for this for so long! I'm going to use 4 of these to make a raid 7 for a new Vista Machine :)
"C'mon, what's with the link to a search of Engadget for the word 'perpendicular' OR 'drive'? You guys are the only website I know that manage to produce LESS information by the use of hyperlinks, rather than more.

We've been undergoing an upgrade to many of our backend systems over the last few weeks -- search will get better soon.
