"No conversion necessary" is a bit of a stretch, and so might finding a computer that can encode HD in realtime...
er, um ... i wrote it. for higher quality divx(xvid) movies (not HD) i've had to change the .prx profile to reduce the resolution quality during encoding, else i get some pausing.
i'm definitely interested in hearing if it can handle HD though. don't have beefy enough hardware to test myself
It seem to be a complex solution to see divx on a TV...
I'ved just conected my TV on the TV Out of my AGP Video Card and I have the same result with a lot of tools...
Thanks, Alain.
What out are you using? If you can connect via DVI, then great.
Currently I have my TV about 20 feet from the PC, and an S-video cable connecting the two, it gets the job done, but w/ noticeable loss in quality and interference. also, it doesn't really allow me to browse the content on the pc from the TV, if I could do it through my network and at HD quality it would be much more satisfying.
