Because there's nothing you'd rather do on the
subway than watch your crappy home movies, we give you the DVD Xpress DX2, an analog-to-digital converter box that
allows you to turn Junior's four hour Bar Mitzvah vid into iPod- or PSP-friendly MPEGS. The DX2 pulls content from any
video source with composite or S-video outs, converts it into MPEG-1/2/4 or DivX, and transfers the digital footage via
USB to your hard drive or an optical disc. Included software supposedly ensures perfect audio syncing, and features a
wizard for simplifying the whole ripmixburn thing. Now instead of just embarrassing Junior in front of his friends with
hilarious anecdotes, you can break out a little Hora-action on your 'Pod and completely pwn his ass (note: the previous
parenting tip was brought to you by
BloggingBaby). Available in a few weeks
for like 176 bucks.
Can this device be used to copy my old VHS commericial movies that I own on to a DVD for backup? These tapes will someday be worthless and I would like to save them on DVDs.
Apple Inc. has delayed until March the launch of its gadget for streaming video and other content from computers to TVs, but the company would not explain why. The company had said in January the $299 Apple TV set-top box would be available this month…

i like the look of dvd express but is it compatable with vista
Add a card reader, and you have something I'd buy... A simple way to get programming onto my Pocket PC.
Is this an improvement on other Digital to Analog converters? And what chipseet does it use?
Thanks
If that thing can do Time Based Correction, it would be very nice for converting content that you own to a portable format.
I know you can decrypt and rip, well not vhs or off your cable dvr, but you could do it just as fast off-line with this box and you wouldn't have to tie up your PC.
#1, Just get a NEUROS MPEG4 convertor, it does exactly what you need. The first version has a SD and CF slot, the second has Memory Stick (PSP) and CF.
#4, Thank you for the heads up... That's what I've been looking for.
Anyone seen one of these with a built-in timer and tuner?
I need to convert composite video to ouput options:
DVI, HDMI, and Digital Auduio.
This would be a great add-on to a DISH-TV dealer for current DISH Rewceivers. Then, we wouldn't have to buy a Digital Output Receiver for over $300.00.
