We never thought we'd
be getting our tech news from Matt Drudge, but the drudgester appears to have the goods on a new study claiming
cellphones -- drum roll please -- do not cause brain cancer. The study, apparently due to be published online by the
British Medical Journal tomorrow, is based on interviews with nearly 1,000 Britons with glioma, a rare, malignant brain
tumor, along with about 1,700 healthy subjects. Researchers found that there was no connection between tumors and cell
usage, based on cell usage over as long as 10 years by the interview subjects. Of course, since the study is apparently
based solely on interviews and not on any medical research, it certainly won't be the final word on the topic. In the
meantime, we can continue using our cellphones as usual, confident that at least someone thinks we're perfectly safe.
Fix the title !!
Thank god now I can just throw away my headset and can continue to use my mobile how I used with out any fear. Thank you guys
Interviews? They actually personally sat down and talked to 2,700 people, but couldn't spare the expense of including any kind of medical research?
stick to reporting "new" gadgets that have been around for 5 years.
Why does the guy in the infared photo look like Hitler? Creepy.
I love Matt Drudge!
More study needed! Please renew my study grant so I don't have to go back to the 7-11.
Of course cell phones are safe. It's called "non-ionizing radiation" for a reason. People are so freakin' gullible.
This must not be taken as a generality. It's not because a research
shows cell phones are not dangerous that instantly they become
safe!
Cell phone tech is not old enough to really prove either it's dangerous or not. We must wait until 2020 to know.
But, as a matter of fact, I've read that calling with a BT headset is 2 times
more dangerous than calling with the phone alone.
The wired headset remain the best solution for those who last all their day on cell phone.
That's my point of view... :-)

I tell you what I'm afraid of: my cell phone killing my swimmers.
Whenever I've driving, I have the radio turned up, so I put my cell phone in my lap so I can feel it vibrate. The other day it struck me that I could be rendering myself infertile.
Quick, interview some eunuchs and find out if they kept their phones in their laps!
Yay for Belgium! I know a girl in Belgium! :)

Why would bluetooth be more dangerous? That doesnt make any sense. Your cordless housephone broadcasts with more power than a BT headset. Can you back that up?
Next we'll be told that people are getting hand cancer from BT mice.
People are so paranoid about new tech. Folks freaked out about the microwave too, but most now people cant imagine life without their 4 minute popcorn. This too will pass.
Well, some people think tech is devil. I'm not at this point... I have wifi and a phone. So I think the best point of view is to say that BT and cell phones are not totaly dangerous but not totaly not dangerous (hard to say ;-)).
BT headsets are more dangerous if you keep your phone in your pocket for example because it's 2 sources of radiations instead of one.
Finaly, it must not be forgotten that telling the phone is dangerous is not the wish of the tech's world and that they keep telling it isn't even if it is and that governments don't care much of it. (I don't know if it is understandable...)
Hard to make its mind... But I see risks. An cell phone antenna will be build in my street, I will say you if headaches come more often... :-)
Smile, life is good. Lol
