Franz Ferdinand Limited Edition Sony NW-A1000
We weren't
kidding when we said "post punk" rockers Franz Ferdinand were Sony's house band, because Sony's announced the
Franz Ferdinand Limited Edition NW-A1000 to celebrate the Scottish
group's latest release. Don't throw out that Josef K Limited Edition Rio PMP300 just yet though if you wanna wanna go
buy one, since only a hundred of these A1000s exist, and you can only get one on January 26th and February 9th in Japan
for ¥33,000 (about $286).

I think it is a pretty kewl gadget, I love Franz Ferdinand, yet who has time to go to Japan, in only those two days? I mean what is the point of limited edition? they are just more expensive
nice try, Sony
I never got the point of limited edition electronics.
I mean are they going to gain in value over time?
HA! 'Cause they sound like Josef K! It's funny!
Do you want to? Nah. I would be down with the Josef K model, though. Is creative doing a comsat angels one?
Tempting, but I'm currently emgaged in a boycott of Sony.
Yes number 5 I TOTALLY Agree. Boycott sony!
Now, wouldn't it be nice if the whole player were an OLED screen that displayed an artist's face or tricked out design...
I saw Franz Ferdinand live last year. Worst. Performers. EVER.
"Don't throw out that Josef K Limited Edition Rio PMP300 just yet" - Itś for in-jokes like that, that i love engadget. Thanks!
Disgusting
what happens if; the day after you get you decide you do not like Franz Ferdinand
Now i have seen them in concert, and they are good but this is a joke, only die hard fans would get this and you would look like a right muppet.
It would be good if they had many bands on there
but this, no, i dnt think so
much love
xxx
Good God. Why dont they invest time money and resources into getting that piece of SHIT software called Connect to actually work??? Sony has lost the plot!
Josef K - NICE! How about an Orange Juice or Aztec Camera EDITION?
i agree with live-evil post#6 it's nice to know that some gadget fans have taste.
Franz Ferdinand may be the only thing you'll get out of it. Try getting your own music collection on to the thing, thats if you can make the very buggy dreadful SonyConnect program work.
