Casio's Exilim EX-Z600 six megapixel shooter
Panasonic wasn't the only one
to shoot a little early today; Casio announced their new 6 megapixel digital camera, the notably smaller Exilim EX-Z600, which features a 2.7-inch display, 3x optical zoom,
and "anti-shake" DSP (which uses high ISO settings to avoid blurring, and somehow doesn't sound nearly as
reassuring as proper OIS). Should be out sooner than later, but we don't have any official word on price and release
just yet, so keep an eye out come PMA next month.

Wow... that drunk transvestite almost looks hot!
The new EX-Z600 is smaller only by length and height from the EX-S600 (90 x 59 x 16.1mm), the EX-Z600 is (88.5 x 57.0 x 20.5mm)
It the cameras were box shaped the EX-Z600 would be 21% larger by volume.
I would care more about width than any other dimension. However, I wouldn't buy any camera with out the break it no problems warranty because my EX-S500 only lasted two weeks. The lens cell broke after a very minor drop, and it wasn’t covered. That may explain why they are releasing another 6MP camera so quickly after the release of the last design.
What happened to the cute korean chicks?
I think this is going to be my next camera... I finally has all I want :
- very compact
- mpeg4 video
- image stabilization
- 6mp or more
- large lcd
- fast startup time and response time
- not to forget: looks cool (esp in black)
Also I had several casio cameras already and they really stand out from all other cameras. Now just have to wait, no word yet on availability in us ;-(
Higher ISO settings for image stabilising?? That's outrageous cheating!
The pic has 5.0 megapixels written on it
"Wow... that drunk transvestite almost looks hot!"
First thing that I thought too.
That's a man baby!

No it says 6.0 look at the shadows. You just can't see the connection that makes it a six b/c of the glare. But it does say six.
The z600 spec does not mention it has MPEG4 video capture....
