Microsoft has responded to the sound issue. They said that they are working on it and they will put out an update on Live that will solve the problem, although they didn't give a specific time frame for when that was going to take place. They also said that they have been hearing a lot of complaints about it though, so clearly it was a major issue, but who can complain with the rest of the live service, definitely not me.
