Sharp's new Aquos B and G HD LCDs include four 1080p models
We
just love us some 1920x1080 display action, and Sharp's new B and G Aquos TVs offer up four new models with that very
1080p flavor of HD. The two lines are comprised of 18 LCD units,
all HD and sporting HDMI, Firewire, and DVI ports. The DVI and HDMI ports are both HDCP compatible, so you won't be left in the dark once Blu-ray and HD
DVD players come to market and start locking out the HDCP-less from the high-res good stuff. Sizes range from 26 to
65-inches, with 6ms response times and 1200:1 contrast ratios for all, while the G series (pictured) also adds Dolby
Surround and Sharp's 1Bit audio tech.

That's great, but too bad they don't support computer resolutions at the native resolution.

Is there really a 37" 1080p? Ive been waiting!!! Finally!

Big question is: Do the new 1080p (1920x1080) versions support 1080p INPUT via HDMI or DVI?

Westinghouse has had a 1080p 37" for at least half a year now.

Also Costco's Scepter 37" LCD is 1080p with pretty much same specs as Westinghouse at a better price (and from same Chinese factory), but neither have 6ms response time, although image quality is great for both lower cost LCD's accordong to threads over at AVScience forums... hmmm. On other hand you spend so much money and only get 37". Unless it sits on a desktop, it almost makes more sense to go bigger. I now hunger for 42" - 56." GRRR!

Is any company going to release a 26" 1080p LCD TV? This would be the perfect TV for me.
