Soldius golf bags solar-charge cellphones, iPods
Because heaven forbid you miss a phone call
during your two to four hours on the course, Soldius has introduced a line of golf bags that feature solar panels for
charging cellphones and iPods. The Soldius comes with different tips for use with most popular phones, but the iPod
adapter will cost you extra. Seems like the perfect addition to our game day must-haves along with the Segway GT golf cart, Quartz Gyrosensor
Putter with LCD, nanomaterial golf balls, and
stupid talking Hook/Slice swing meter.
The Soldius bags cost from $200 for what must be little more than a paper sack to $800 for luxurious, smartphone-worthy
leather.[Via Cnet]

Your cell phone doesn't to be switched on to charge!!!
We fully agree that cell phones should be off when you're playing your game. Oh, and we have a bag pack with solar panels that charge pennlite batteries, a big hit in India and other countries.
This is a very good idea.
It's brilliant!!!

We are currently reviewing Soldius solar back pack...it has the same solar panel. Check it out here:

That's crazy shit. Golf is hard enough to get right without the distractions of mobile phones and iPods.
Was at the London Golf Show on Saturday and there was some cool stuff... but I didn't see one of these Soldius golf bags on show. Maybe it hasn't hit Europe yet. Good! ;-)

This is a great idea but at our club they do not allow mobile phones onto the course. I suppose its OK for the Golf GPS
Good luck with this product

Cell phones don't belong on golf courses.
How more yuppie could it get?
Love it. Next I need a blender.
Where's the beer fridge?
This is great, but why don't they have these in a light weight version for the top of a backpack, so one could keep one's AA batteries, and cell phone maybe, topped up on a long back-packing trip? Seems an obvious niche, with at least 1 M customers in this country.
Great, now I have to drag along my Faraday cage in my own golf bag to stop the selfish duffers...
This is a perfect add on to power your PDA and use GPS Golf Pro (http://www.gps-golfpro.com) while you play.
