Elonex's Lumina 2 Media Center PC sports HD abilities
The Media Center PCs from Elonex's "the computer is the display" Lumina
series aren't for the faint of wallet -- hovering around the $4-6 thousand range -- and they aren't for the USofA, but
we can always wish from afar. Their new Lumina 2 desktops come in 32 and 42-inch varieties, with 400GB of HDD, 1GB of
RAM, and dual tuners, one digital and one "anologue". You can record to Windows Media Center 2005, or use the
component or RGB inputs to find something to watch on the WXGA screen. The PCs should be shipping in a few weeks, but at
$4600 for the 32-inch 2330 model and $5800 for the 40-inch 2400, maybe it's a good thing that these two models are out
of our reach.

Yeah, its pricey, but how well have they integrated the PC in the guts of the display? Especially if it is upgradeable and quiet. One media center remote is important. And, with no source devices to control and provided the speakers were decent, I could see the public benefitting from this concept.
