SpoofCard simplifies Caller ID spoofing
If
you've ever made or received a call using a calling card, you've probably noticed one of the side effects of these
payment systems: instead of your number showing up on the recipient's Caller ID screen, a number owned by the card's
issuer appears. Now a company called SpoofCard has decided to capitalize on this discrepancy by selling calling cards
that are specifically designed to spoof Caller ID
systems. For about 17 cents a minute, SpoofCard lets you send any numeric string as your Caller ID code. The
service goes even further, providing realtime voice-changing capabilities and call recording. Although SpoofCard's
Privacy Policy specifies that the service shouldn't be used for illegal activities and that the company reserves the
right to hand over your personal info if they're subpoenaed, we won't be surprised to see this shut down soon. In the
meantime, here's your chance to really confuse those wiretappers.

Just enter the number as a string in memory. Enter it as 866-236-4984-TTT-pin#. The TTT represent 3 pauses. It works like magic. Although I don't use it to harass my ex. I use it for my bill collecting.
paid almost 24 hours ago ... still no pin number ... emailed them twice, nothing :(
I currently have a spoof card with http://www.phonegangster.com they work pretty good and I trust them over anyone
I'm looking for a way to assign my business 1-800 number to my cell phone so that the 1-800 number shows up on the answering party's caller id--all without having to enter (via spoof card) the 1-800 number on every call. Any suggestions? Thanks.
do I have to pay for any fee or thing even that I didn't use it anymore? The spoofcard account ? If I have to pay for fee , then how can I completely quit the program , delete my account?
I really like the spoofcard. I have bought 2 cards so far. The only thing i don't like is the voice change. all it does is speed up or high pitch your voice for female and slow down or low pitch your voice for male. It doesn't sound right at all. I only wish they would improve on the voice change.
I've been tinkering around with SpoofCard for along time now and over time, their service has only improved, especially with the quality of the disguised voices. My favorite feature is the call recording directly into.mp3 file format.

PhonePhreedom.com is much cheaper than SpoofCard.com

Why can't you just buy the hardware Spoofcard and similar companies use, and never pay any fees? Who manufactures the hardware they use, and how is it connected with the public switched telephone network (PSTN). If they can buy and connect the hardware, so can anyone. Are there any PSTN gurus out there that can get to the bottom of this? Is the hardware compliant with FCC part 68 regulations, or is it located outside the USA where hardware doesn't need to comply with part 68?
On a similar note, has anyone used hoaxMail to spoof the caller id on a text or email?

Does anybody out there know who this telephone number belongs to" 905-365-9795 "? 905 is a Canada area code I don't know anybody in Canada,
I keep seeing this number on my callerid,
"no message."I live in Lamar Missouri, If the caller see's this , when you call me Speak,
I had a dog that wouldn't speak,
so I just kept telling that dog to speak,I said Speak! and finally he did, ha ha
Caller ID Spoofing to be a thing of the past....
PDXUSA will soon go public with ANI support, allowing for identification of "unknown" numbers. Telemarketers, collection agencies and other
large businesses such as HOTELS / MOTELS use T1 phone lines that often appear as unknown number. This can cause you to simply not answer the phone when it could be your employer or job opportunity!!
You don't need 800 numbers or call forwarding to have this and you can keep your old number.
Not only do we provide ANI, we authenticate it with the carrier who owns the number so for the few out there who can spoof ANI, you'll find yourself running into a brick wall trying to spoof a PDXUSA telecom customer.

do you know if there is a company in the UK who provide this service... all the ones in america dont cover UK accounts??
just found a great company called sharpmail.co.uk it allows you to send anonymous or fake numbers for texts or e mails. and it works its great
Not sure how legitimate. Decided to test the waters by buying a $10 card about 40 minutes ago. They claim that your PIN# after placing the order will be dispatched immediately. Still nothing, no response from customer service either. I suppose I'll dispute the item with Paypal if I don't hear back by tomorrow.
Proceed with caution.
try this card, same price www.camocard.com
Funny.. I just did $10 too, and got my PIN instantly in email. Haven't tried it yet, but I figure $10.
Maybe it's in your SPAM folder?
anyone remember when caller ID spoofing was super popular?
Remember covertcall.com
They got shhut down. No explanation, it was jsut gone. I was pissed.
Ok, PIN# received. I'll report back if I encounter anything else suspicious.
Engadget has already done a few storys on caller id spoofing before, so I dont see what the big deal with this is. http://www.telespoof.com offers the same thing for 10 cents a minute and the same with http://www.spooftel.com. They also offer advanced features and they've been around a lot longer than spoofcard.com.
I bet you could use this spoofed Caller ID string to transmit low bandwidth data between 2 modems without incurring any per minute charges...
If you listened to this week's TWIT they touched on SpoofCard.
Toll-free number keeps on ringing busy...
Again, no response from Customer Service.
Hehe, some other people listen to twit then eh?
Most randomly insane episode, Woz outside a starbucks, and who walks by? Kevin Mitnick! Who else.. lol
Well done, guys. I've had a spoofcard for over 6 months now and now that it's been publicized on an alexa top-1000 website we'll either have the engadget effect on an influx of people using them or someone will catch on and shut the site down. (I only signed up with spoofcard because spooftel was down when I tried signing up with them).
I first heard about spooftel at a conference in California that had Kevin Mitnick as a speaker I attended in California (He used 867-5309 as an example) and didn't really think about it or sign up until last year, when I was trying to get ahold of someone to bring some stuff up to school (gg theater techs) and they weren't going to answer me. Spoof their home number... they'll pick up.
Nice to see spoofcard picking up a chunk of business (I didn't find out they did voice changing until I called 2-3 days ago... that's a pretty recent feature). I've had no problems with them so far and I just hope they won't collapse under the engadget pressure :)
whoops, guess engadget didn't like my HTML-esque tag. Take no offense to my first paragraph; I was merely being a pedant.
Also, poster #3, this is the wrong story. You want the Western Union one, kthx.
Many service providers provide the ability to send your own caller ID with each call if you have a T1. It was only a matter of time before someone came up with a way to resell the capability.
One final followup...
I received a very courteous and helpful response from Customer Service last night and was able to use the service successfully. I suspect the poster that indicated the site received a surge of traffic was correct.
I just tried the SpoofCard service and I think it's way cooler than any other spooding service out there! I really like the voice changer! I know there are others out there like TeleSpoof but they charge more plus like $2.50 for recording the call, Here the recording and voice changer was included for free.
I really hope this company does stay around and there's no reason why they shouldn't since spoofing is not illegal.
Is there a way to do this without the hassle of a calling card? Like can I call from a landline or cell without entering all the calling card stuff?
