I'm a new customer of Verizon. Picked an awesome new phone out today the Samsung SCH-u740. They said it had full bluetooth capability. Got it home and tried to send a picture to my friend's phone via bluetooth... nope. Not even an option. Can't receive a file. No picture sharing, no sound clip sharing, no vids, nothing. So... not a big deal, maybe it'll work as an internet gateway for my TomTom GPS... nope. won't work. So I call Verizon. Why can't I use bluetooth? They say "bluetooth works great, all headsets work with it" ok... headsets are an afterthought of bluetooth. Bluetooth is a PRIVATE wireless network between the equipment I purchased and another piece of equipment. Has nothing to do with Verizon... they explain... "We don't allow file transfers due to piracy." So what Verizon is saying is, I'm going to be treated like a criminal because some people steal pictures and songs? This is like taking away tires on my car because they might run over a dog. Communism. No SIM, No Bluetooth, No fast internet connection, can't even use it as a modem... all of this because they decided I might use it for piracy. Nevermind, had the phone for 2 hours. Back in the box, going back first thing in the morning. So, all we really have is cingular, which sucks now that it's the old At&t. blah.
the Nook Color proved it was an undercover tablet all along, Barnes and Noble has hit back with this latest Nook as proof of its focus on one thing: reading.
