Blueado's m5e Media Center PC
No, that's not a massive
remote, it's a small WMCE PC. Measuring just 4.2 x 8 x 12-inches, the Blueado Mini m5e is another small Windows Media Center
Edition PC which skips
over all the Intel Viiv twaddle by slapping in a
cool runnin' Intel Pentium M to keep the noise down. It features 1GB RAM, 200GB of storage, built-in DVD burner,
TV-tuner, Dolby Digital Audio out in 5.1, DTS Digital Audio in 5.1/6.1 and 7.1 (future), front-mounted USB 2.0 and
FireWire connections, a 7-input card reader, and S-Vid, DVI, VGA and Standard Video outs. Now shipping for $1,500.

That is HOT! Not to mention it actually looks better and costs less than most DIY solutions I've seen. I almost feel like I need to free up the cash for this one. Almost.

Ok. Am I the only one that notices that thing looks mighty similar to the new AOpen small form factors??
FLUIDJ @ Feb 3rd 2006 10:55AM
Can someone say AOpen??

Yup looks like the Aopen Cube mini to me too (http://xc.aopen.com.tw/CubeProduct-mini.aspx?type=22&names=Cube%20Mini&adauno_t=78) you can pick these up in the UK from suppliers like Aria (http://www.aria.co.uk/ProductInfoComm.asp?ID=18392) for about 170, but you'll need to add your own CPU etc. I've got a couple of thier original 'full suze' cubes which are great value for money and quiet too.

Yup, it's surely an Aopen case: http://www.engadget.com/2005/05/03/aopens-pentium-m-based-xc-cube-mini-mz855-ii/

How does it "skip over all the Intel Viiv twaddle by slapping in a cool runnin' Intel Pentium M"? One of the suggested components of Intel VIIV is a Core Duo CPU, which to be honest skips all over the Pentium M. Does this have an instant-on mode? No, VIIV is better there too. Unless you're the Register or the Inquirer, it's not cool to make obviously wrong statements, so bear that in mind for future articles.
Thanks,
