Siemens launches "Kick Real" cameraphone game
With World Cup fever sweeping Germany (or at least sweeping the tournament's sponsors), Siemens
has come up with a novel way for cellphone users to practice their kicks (which we think is at least a little ironic,
given that Siemens doesn't
even make cellphones anymore). The company's "Kick Real" game provides cameraphone users with a virtual
soccer field; point the camera at your foot, and you can kick a virtual ball that you view on the phone's LCD. We can't
wait for this to catch on, so we can get our own kicks watching gamers staring into their phones and kicking the air.

RETURN OF THE SHOEGAZERS! (an early '90's music alternative genre)
can't you just hold your foot still and wave your phone around...?
I played a game that used this kind of camera interacition technology in Best Buy a few weeks ago. I was karate chopping ninjas and blocking flying axes. It was quite cheesy but I know it is just the first step to better systems. Remember pong. When I was done playing I noticed one of the employees was quite entertained watching me look silly.
sounds kinda cool, hope it works though. i can imagine you would have to be in perfect conditions, floor-wise
#2, that would have been Eyetoy on the PS2. =P
All we need is a game from lucasoft that comes with a light saber handle. then that chubby kid who was doing the darth maul impression would just be an everyday occurence.
probably not eyetoy, there's a cheap like 20 dollar plug-in-to-your-tv-and-play style game that has a cam, I saw it somewhere too.. maybe it was Best Buy.
Brazilians would get a kick out of this phone....
Sorry for the bad pun.
*COUGH* Gizmondo AR RipOff *COUGH*
