Electronic door opener hack brings laziness to new heights
There are
some crazy theorists out there who conjecture that we spend more time and work on creating time saving devices than it
would ever take to perform the task in the first place, but as we said, those guys are crazy -- either that, or they're
just jealous of Alexandre Novello and his l33t hax0r skills. It seems Alexandre grew tired of walking across the room to
open the door for people, so he wrote himself some software and hooked up to the door's electronic opener via a hardware
switch and a parallel port. Sounds like a nice calorie saving scheme he's got going, keep on slacking hard Alex![Via Hack-A-Day]

hey i did the same thing by tying a rope to the fridge door, the toilet flusher, and the dogs tail. Now everything is voice activated when i call the dog!
sounds good to me.where can i get one!
couldn't you mod this a little so you could open your regular exterior or interior doors? I don't often tell my guests to go out through the garage, but I would like to be able to remotely control other doors in the house, like to let the dogs in and out.
u can never be 2 lazy
And so we move one step closer to automatic-opening doors and/or transporters.
This is a good thing.
laziness is a human instinct... rock on Alex
100% pointless
valla gusel olmus helal olsun size
Let's think about how useful this could be. For example, the elderly can open the door without having to get up.

Laziness is an engine of progress ;)
Alex is going to need a door opener for his fridge, bathroom door and bedroom door if he plans on living like a normal homosapien. But then again, feasting on your arms and fingernails isn't that bad either, right ALEX?
Laziness is an engine of progress.100% support.:)
As a receptionist on a floor that doesn't technically have a receptionist, this would totally rock my world.
Rock on Alexandre!
Sounds like Silver Spoons on 80's TV! Yay for taking creativetechnological steps backwards!
Uh, what l33t hax0r skills? Couldn't he just get another remote control for the garage door?
