again. Our friends over at TUAW are reporting that Apple has sent out invitations for a "Special Event" to
take place on February 22nd at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
As usual, these
supposed-invitations are light on the deets but heavy on the insinuations, this time featuring an Airport Express base
station on the card- which may indicate new video support for this device. Or maybe the real invitations got botched at
the printer's, and Apple had to do these ones up real quick in-house, using whatever was laying around the office.
Either way, we're sure to get barraged with no less than one million theories in the coming weeks, most of which we'll
pass along to you.
Update: This is most likely a fake. The Flickr page where it was found
has an owner who seems
fond of Photoshopping.

I think they might add a 1.5 megapixel camera to the back of the ipod. That would be pretty cool.
Why don't you all just wait for the 22nd. It's not like Apple is gonna tell you just because you call, and if it is a fake...so what?? The people who make fakes are rude, like you all.
Obvoisly it wouldn't be called the video ipod. They already have that. My idea is that you have a regular ipod that when you pull the two ends the ipod pars slid apart and inside is a screen the size of an ipod nano. The scroll wheel turns when you doo this and the square screen (not the big one) shows what is playing not to take up valuble space on the big screen. What ever they make I sure hope that they put out a video version (big screen) and a regular version (regular screen) I don't need and don't want a huge screen. To easy to scrath and to big to fit into your pocket

The Video iPod is not a iPod Video... it is an iPod that can display videos, Jobs has said this.

New Shuffle, Black and White Versions, or the line is done.
New MacBooks (iBook Replacement)
New Intel Mac Mini, dubbed the iTheatre (or some other name, maybe as bad as the MacBook Pro, I have no idea)

I'd say Airport Express with video, new shuffle, new macbook (ibook replacement), tablet mac (mactab) and new mac mini (maybe a media centre).

Is the Apple Event real or not? I don't care about the rummored products.
I found the same photo w/o the extra text on the Apple store on the airport express page, but its a much lower quality image. So if this is a fake i don't know where they got that picture. All of the other invites for Apple press events i've seen havn't really given away the products being announced, but i've only seen a few.
i predict there will be a new ipod with no buttons , instead the screen will cover the entire ipod ( touch screen ) and you will be able to play wide screen movies on it from pixar or disney... etc.. because steve jobs knows everyone wants a piece of Apple from the music business and he is gonna move on to more advanced stuff where there wont be competition to worry about.
oh it might also have speakers built in.
I'm saying a 40% chance of an intel mac mini, 20% chance of a new intel "iBook" (or non-pro MacBook, whatever they call it), 15% chance of a new iPod of some sort (possibly the rumored 1 GB Nano), 15% chance of something else, and 10% chance of nothing.

As Intel rolls out new chips thru 206 so Apple will roll out new PCs. Faster ones with added finctionality. Funny how Dell appears poised to miss out on all the publicity hypes. Maybe they hope for their laptop AMD launch will garner some attention.
