I find the discussion interesting and laughable. I'm a Nigerian living in Nigeria. Google coming to Nigeria is no charity. They have seen the potential and want to be 1st in line to grab it. The discussions paint Nigeria as a jungle where Google's internet will liberate tree dwellers. it is absolutely false. Internet and modern infrastruture is growing rapidly in Nigeria and will continue to grow rapidly with or without google. It is unfortunate that the behavior of a few bastards is affecting the rest of us but there are evil people in every society I've been to the USA and Europe. I laugh and frankly feel sorry for them for the level of their ignorance. Yet their media deceives them that they live in paradise. I do legitimate work and make more money than most Americans and I love living here because of our culture of strong families. I know a lot of Nigerians that are doing as well or much better
How open minded of you (not) to sneer at the opinions of others to which they, just like you, are fully entitled ! Who made you the font of all wisdom ? How arrogant of you to suggest that people in the USA and Europe believe everything they are told and think they are living in a paradise. We're not as dumb as you'd like to think; (I'm a Canadian by the way, in case that makes any difference), perhaps you should study world history a little more for evidence of how democracies work and what happens when democratic rights are suppressed although as a Nigerian living in Nigeria you should be au fait with that. You are someone living in a country with a lamentable history with regard to free speech and a free press. Finally, how crass to brag about how much money you earn, how does that make you different from anyone living in the so-called consumerist societies you apparently despise ?
