RX bot can run, but is no ASIMO
A Korean startup has built the
country's first robot capable of running, the two-foot-tall, network-controlled RX. The bot is capable at hoofing it at
a pace of about .3 mph; not exactly what we'd call a speedy gait, and certainly no match for ASIMO's brisk 1.8 mph. The company
behind the bot, Robotis, spent an estimated $1 million jointly developing it with Samsung and Korea's Ministry of
Information and Communication. Given Korea's plans for an army of network-controlled
worker bots, we sort of don't mind that RX is a little slow. As long as we can outrun him (and he's only two feet
tall), we feel a lot better about the future.[Via the Raw Feed]

ASIMO can run at 3.7MPH ;-)
So .3 is more like a crawl ....

ASIMO kinda runs, the only thing it does that makes it that he dosnt truly run, is that with each step it actualy bounces off the ground by something like 2cm. Man 0.3 mph is real slow.
