I bought this camera last year it has worked fine up until eary this year where you go to turn it on and the screen says access and the lens keep pooping in and out and you cannot take pictures at all and even if you try to turn it off it still pops the lenses in and out anyone have this problem????? let me know cause it drives me nuts i love the camera and I really don't want to buy a new one unless I really have to...
Sony had a lot of problems with this camera not opening and displaying 'Access error'. Mine was just out of warranty and I pleaded with them, telling them how many Sony products I own. They finally cut the repair price in half (55). It was repaired and lasted 6 months before it started doing it again. There are a lot of sites (http://www.fixya.com/search/p472665-sony_cyber_shot_dsc_w50_digital_camera/access) that complain about this. I've had it with Sony, I will by a Canon product next time. They know this was a problem and should recall these or something.
