when I saw it the first thing I thought for some reason was a giant light switch faceplate.

Can you imagine the smell? Kim Chee flavored air conditioning? I love pickled cabbage and bok choi as much as anyone, but its not exactly febreze.

Insulting Kimchee to the Koreans will draw a response that makes the Turban bomb riots in the Islamic world look like shuffleboard at sundowners rest home. That being said, Koreans making claims that Kimchee will protect you from the Bird Flu is one more sign that they will be the first carriers to infect the world. LG should be sued for fraud. Eleven out of Thirteen Chickens??? That is about as scientific as splitting Tens at the Blackjack table in Vegas. What a joke. When it comes to health or medical remedies coming from Korea, Run don't walk for the closest exit. This cloning fraud scandal is only the tip of the iceberg. I have been emersed in Korean culture for most of my life, and snake oil salesman is a more lucrative vocation there than brain surgeon. Count the number of medical nobel prizes from Korea and the number from America and then stick a hamburger in your Air Conditioner intake. It will smell better and it will provide you with the exact same level of protection from pandemic plagues...which is zero.

There has been scientific proof that certain enzymes from kimchi have prevented chickens infected with the H1N1 virus froom dying. There may not yet be solid proof that it protects across species, but it is hardly fraud.

before anyone make any comment about the chick in the photo, I just want to point out that half of the Asia population was in love with her from her hit korean drama.

#6 -- Remember that's H1N1, not the much ballyhooed H5N1, although there may be little or no difference in the efficacy of this treatment related to strain. And the chickens were *fed* kimchi feed; the tests say nothing about blowing it out an air conditioner.

According to New Scientist, it doesn't neccesarily have to be kimchi, sauerkraut will do just as good.
