Fujitsu-Siemens LOOX N560 all but confirmed
While not as prolific
a source of new device info as the FCC, the Bluetooth Qualification Program (BQP) has just given approval (and
therefore credence) to the rumored
Fujitsu-Siemens Loox N5xx Brighthand first got wind of last month. Specifically, the N560 PocketPC is supposed to
run Windows Mobile 5.0 on a 624 MHz processor and said to be “the world’s first” GPS-enabled handheld
with a 640 x 480 (VGA) screen. It is also said to throw down Bluetooth 2.0, 256MB of storage, USB hosting, and 802.11b/g
WiFi. With the T800
series from that leaked roadmap already announced, we’re hopeful to see the N560 drop in March as originally
tipped as well.

I want this same device, in a nicer form factor, and with a 3d graphics card like the intel 2700g.

No CF slot, so no microDrive. Sorry, no sale. Axims still rule.

It's interesting to hear about new PDAs in the pipeline considering how everyone says that the PDA business is dead and everything is being converged into mobile phones.
Although VGA screens on handhelds are quite nice to look at.

#3: I wanted an Axim too until I read the review and found that it can't play VGA video without skipping.

#5, not sure what Axim you were looking at, but the X50v/X51v (624mhz/16mb 3d graphics card/with TCPMP) can play back video faster (higher bitrates) than any other PDA on the market, and probably even the PSP.

What I reallylike about this device is tha it has Intel 2700G video accelerator with VGA-out.
