Is this the video iPod (or Mac tablet)?

We have zero idea what this thing is, if it's real, or if it's the same kind of factory leak we saw the day of Steve's "One more thing..." keynote where he introduced the 5G iPod, but this does look a bit promising as the video iPod that people have been speculating about for a while now. (And yeah, we're assuming that would be a touchscreen on there.)

Have Ryan and the other Engadget guys said ANYTHING about this being a fake once it was revealed? I would think that if the pic and rumour were big enough news to make the page, then it being fake would be big enough as well. Just a matter of thoroughness in reporting.

lmao, i seen a video on how this was created, ill tell ya how
some guy took a picture of an IPOD Video, took another one but the otherway round, and extended the screen using adobe photoshop, he also covered up the ipod logo on the connector so some chinese of japanies writting, he also extraced a LCD colour test from a website using google's inbuilt picture search engin, he then also took an extract of a product bar code from another product and then stuck it on there and increased the transparensy of the sticker by 10 % so it looked as if the glow of the screen was going though the sticker, he then also scribbled a black line on the bottom right hand corner im not sure about what that is :P...anyway once i get the site off my friend and post it on her A.S.A.P. ...it does sum-up what iv mostly descbired on here, so.....

On the lower right hand side there is what appears to be a camera strap. However the black thing in the bottom right corner, which i skipped over the first time is not. Looks like someone used the drawing tool in MS Paint to cover something up. Not very professional for someone using photoshop...

I recon that was the date the photo was taken (automatically added by the camera). the dude who took the photo wanted to cover his tracks, so that the date the photo was taken couldn't be attached to him. Possibly the ipod was in transit when photo was taken.

Look at it this way, we all know that apple are creating a new generation of ipod, most probably for their birthday. Their distinction in not calling the 5G ipod Video Ipod but instead iPod with video capabilities shows that a true video ipod is comming......soon......

The commotion over if its iPod Video or Mac tablet. Well, I guess its neither. Well, if it were a touch screen there wouldn't be a label stuck on it, would it? And the connector on the side which for sure does not resemble the iPod one.

The body looks pretty lame for an Apple product. But hey, if it were... aren't we missing the logo which is always on the face of most products they make?

This new ipod is a fake, I saw the video of a guy making this on photoshop. He cut out a picture of another screen of an ipod and overlayed it on this ipod as a streched image. He then downloaded a picture of a screeen test and overlayed it on the Ipod, sorry folks, but it's true.

PHOTOSHOP! notice the lower right hand corner is lower than any other corner. if this was an apple prototype, they would make it proportional. And there is only a glare on the one side of the screen, where the white is, to show that the backlight is on, where the yellow and the green do not. i do believe this will be the layout of the new iPod...But im not so sure this is a picture of one.

I hate the ipod but i think that 1 is gonna b great. yeah i noe it iz a real version cuz my uncle works with Apple and he showed me pics of the different new ipods and so far the new nano and shuffle came out the same as the pics. so yeah to all u pplz i like the gigabeat better tho its just greatness compared to the Ipod lol i think its just better buts it my opinion.
