Keepin' it real fake, part XXII: iPod nano 'MP4' player

Clearly, this is no iPod nano since among other subtleties it lacks a freakin' display! Still there's no denying its heritage with that big 'ol Apple logo, clickwheel, and "iPod" slapped right up front. This "4GB" player was purchased in Hong Kong for $110 -- a good deal right? Yeah, except it's really only a 128MB flash player. Well, at least it plays MP3 and er, "MP4" files.

i have the same problem. when i copy the songs it only shows a % of songs. for eg. i copied 121 songs and it shows playing 1 of 28.

I am one of those suckers, though my fake ipod is a 8GB and has a color screen and can play video etc. My problem is that I inadvertedly used Microsoft Media Player to sync with my MP4 player. If you are familiar with that feature, you can also shuffle the music, meaning it will delete what is currently on the device and replace it with music recently added. It delete also the root files, so now I think it is putting music on the device, it is telling me when I click on Music, that the disk if empty? Can anyone shed any light. Thanks

I'm in the UK. When I received a fake iPod in the post from a West Yorkshire trader I reported it to the local Trading Standards office which is around 10 miles from the trader's business address. However, instead of pursuing the matter locally they've referred it to a Trading Standards office over 200 miles (4 hours drive) away! It makes me wonder how serious they are about eradicating the distribution of fake and counterfeit iPods.

It will not because the hard ware is missed up totaly in the Ipod it's self. Be carefull it my cause some of your hard ware deviceis to act up and you may start to get a pop like sound as if a window was openning and closing on your computer. If this is happening go to your hardware manager and look for the hardware that looks like but is not your Ipod/mp4. It should have a yellow dot witha ? mark in it. Just remove or uninstall it.

Hey!..quiettype55...what the fakePods(your player)means when it flashes a message "Empty Disk" is that..your music are all erased..not only that..All Your Saved Files! are all erased..it is because you have loaded so much music in it and it reaches the highest capacity of files that can be restored in it which will then result to the erasures of files...

I have also bought one of this...actually...you can put lyrics(.lrc file) in it.This can play videos but in .AMV format,there are also already-installed games on it,you can also put telephone directories.
And the greatest thing it does,a simple soft touch or bump to the power button will turn it's power off..

Well I saw those mp3 players on ebay, but did you format it? this may be the reason why it's only 128MB! They precise that we should NOT format the mp3 because it would delete important files in the player. I saw a lot of people saying that those mp3 loose their capacity after formating! So if you buy one, never format it! lol

i went to china this summer. Every store i went to there was like a flood of fake ipods with 1.8 in. screens, no screens, 1.0 in screens, all garenteed to work by the dealer. Lol most of them dont even have a usb port
