Apple intros $99 leather iPod case

Looks like Apple wants to make sure to own a piece of every sector of the iPod accessory market. In addition to the $349 iPod Hi-Fi, the company also announced its own $99 leather iPod case. Sure, it's a pretty basic sleeve, and only fits the iPod with video or nano, but if you want an official Apple case with an Apple logo and "iPod" stamped on the front, this is the place to go (though we hear there are some pretty convincing knockoffs available on Canal Street for about $15).

Well, as soon as I saw "some medium scale things" I commenced the anticlimax.
Both this case and the speaker just seem overpriced in my opinion. Here in the UK, the iPod has got more expensive, and this case makes it seem that price increases are due for almost all Apple (iPod) products. I am quite happy with my iSkin. Also, I wanted to buy the Radio Remote that they showed off in January, but they are still not available yet in the UK, just as TV shows aren't on iTunes, where we pay more for music.
That speaker seems good quality too, but is it better quality than the downloaded iTunes music provides?

So much anticipation... guess I'll wait a month for "some large scale things".

Absolutely Gross. iPod Street (Awful name, I know) has an amazing high end full leather case that opens for access, at $45. I've got it, and it's of extremely high quality.

This is absolute tripe. What a lousy presentation today... I'm dissapointed with all of these products.

So...lemme get this straight, this is just a sleeve, it doesn't give you access to any functions on the player, so you STILL have to pull it out to get to the controls, so the chances of scracthing your player still remain, and they're selling this for a BENNY!! I think " His Steveness'" turtleneck is too tight, or he's been wearing the wrong size new balances, He MUST be CRAZY!!!!
