What's with people wanting to be the "first post" If you don't have anything interesting to say... what's the point?
As for me, i would like to thank Engadget for posting links to the podcasts.
Kevin @ Feb 28th 2006 11:27PM
Steve sounds a bit off. Stumbled over his words several times.
Brad Twitty @ Feb 28th 2006 11:51PM
thanks, good job
Bruce Elgort @ Feb 28th 2006 11:53PM
I agree. Steve didn't sound like "Steve". Todays event seems a bit of a let down. $345 for the HiFi is quite steep. $99 leather cases - yikes!
Keep up the excellent podcasts guys.

Is Steve alright? He sounds really sick a lot lately. I hope he is not have a relapse. Hopefully everything is alright with him, he would probably keep it from the public if it was not. What do you guys think? does it sound strange?
Anthony @ Mar 1st 2006 12:02AM
Any photos of the event? How big was this room? It just sounds like he's sitting at a conference table or at a podium.
Scott @ Mar 1st 2006 12:02AM
I haven't listened yet but I'm hoping to hear people laughing out loud when he tells them 7 square inches of leather cost $99. Also when inside this stupidly expensive cover you will not be able to see your Ipod screen or where the buttons are.
Josh Wardell @ Mar 1st 2006 12:10AM
A big THANK YOU for posting this. I wish apple did, you guys are quickly becoming the best for apple keynote (etc) coverage!
reckless @ Mar 1st 2006 12:30AM
yeah, where did this audio come from? if it's straight from the board (like it sounds) i can't believe there isn't video as well.
either that, or you guys rolled in with a hacked scanner and took the feed right from his radio mic....:)
Anthony @ Mar 1st 2006 1:03AM
Thanks so much for posting this!
Everyone really needs to remember that the simple invite just said "fun things"...wait until the beginning of April (Apple's 30th) before feeling "let down!"
Charles Taylor @ Mar 1st 2006 1:25AM
When are you guys going to add the Enhanced-AAC version of the Engadget Pocast to the feed on iTunez?
Eggie @ Mar 1st 2006 1:41AM
Thanks engadget team!
Dissapointment
frkygp @ Mar 1st 2006 1:50AM
let up on the insults to the team. it isnt the best quality, sure. but who cares.
$99 for a leather case... not in this lifetime
Javed B Karim @ Mar 1st 2006 2:54AM
Did you guys discuss the PSP / Sony location-free base that streams media over WiFi? Can the PSP display media streamed over the other WiFi Media Routers?
ej @ Mar 1st 2006 8:48AM
He reminds me of a used-car salesman. He's really overselling some very basic products.
thispaceforsale @ Mar 1st 2006 10:37AM
is a podcast in ogg still a podcast?
Gordy @ Mar 1st 2006 10:40AM
Still no 5G microphones, after 4 months--not even an announcement. What's up with that?
Paul @ Mar 1st 2006 4:56PM
Rememeber here we have a typical? billionaire, who doesn't even think about money right. Hey that $99 is what he pays just to taxi his jet out of its hanger. These people live in a compeletly different world from you and I. Gods sake he is in marketing and hype. Selling to the Ego. Hey marketing is one step on the wrung below Lawyers and Politicians who sold out long a go. Its all spin and lies. Events like these show it for all of us to laugh at. Thanks for making my day so entertaining Steve!
Brian @ Mar 2nd 2006 4:40PM
Thanks for posting this, Engadget.
At 10:22 into the podcast, there is a photo slideshow playing with music that sounds like Sarah McLachlan. Does anyone know the name of the song? (I previewed "Song for a Winter's Night" on iTunes but it doesn't sound quite the same as what's in the podcast.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Brian @ Mar 3rd 2006 12:24PM
I'm so tired of Jobs claiming how the Apple remote "does all the same things as those remotes with a lot more buttons." Um... no Steve it freaking doesn't. Let's see how well that remote works if you want to actually watch TV on your Mac like all the PC users are doing on their's and what Apple fans wish you would've announced this week.
matt jones @ Mar 5th 2006 12:34AM
I would buy the mini right now, just for Front Row and the remote in my living room, except for one big critical thing -------> no AVI (DIVX) or WMI support!!!
How am I supposed to watch all my backed up movies?
CaseyInMD @ Mar 5th 2006 2:24PM
Engadget presents are definately the *BEST*
Mats @ Mar 5th 2006 4:59PM
Engadget is truly a great podcast; one of my favourites. I only have one comment and it is a general one: please make the enhanced AAC-podcast available as subscription via iTunes.
Keep up the great work!!
