Hacked Street Fighter joystick for the Xbox 360
If you're not quite feeling that Dead or Alive 4 Xbox 360 joystick,
but you still want a setup for the XBLA version of Street Fighter 2, then you might be into this controller hack.
It uses a classic Street Fighter Anniversary Edition joystick and the guts of a wired 360 controller to make the magic
happen, but 6 pages of tutorial later and you too can return to your former ownage status at the classic game. Which is
good, since the Xbox Live version has a leaderboard, so you best be bringing some sort of skill.

Excellent, I built a similar project a few years ago for my PSX.

when does this xbox arcade game come out. I keep looking everyday, but not luck.
purbeast @ Mar 3rd 2006 2:52PM
Yup I created one from arcade parts for PSX back in the day, which is what got me thinking about this one. With SF2 coming out soon, and UMK3 announced ... a joystick for the 360 is a must :)

Who in their right mind would buy a PSX? That system bombed.... You guys are way cool. WAY COOL. You should date. No, seriously.
ravuya @ Mar 3rd 2006 5:38PM
I think by PSX they mean PS1, and not the PS2-era "PSX" abortion that we shall never speak of again.
Chris @ Mar 3rd 2006 5:45PM
They should still date... with so much in common, they'll be spooning in no time.

i like spoons.. almost as much as street fighter

Ive been also waiting for this game to hit the marketplace, This is really the only reason I got a 360, MS or capcom should come out with a converter to let us use the xbox1 sf2ae joystick, because most people wont be able to perform this hack and pulling off combos and moves on the 360 controller sucks.

here's a version for the Perfect 360 joystick which is close to this conversion, but just a tad harder because of the optical switches:

I have a friend, xbox live id, MrNasty, who's in a wheelchair, his hands are parylyzed. He plays by putting 1 hand on the stick and hitting the buttons with the other hand. The guy's amazing. He kicks my butt on nfl 2k.
We got a joystick from quasimoto.com He has a problem with pushing the analog buttons hard enough on racing games. A regular button just has a switch. Analog buttons have a switch and a plug with 2 prongs. Is there anything we can do make the stick work with regular buttons? Thanks

My friend with the paralyzed hands has a SuperProstick from Mas Systems, http://www.massystems.com/ProStick.html , that he used on the Deamcast. Do you think this would make it 360 compatible? Also is there anyone out there, who’d do this for a reasonable fee?
He’s desperate to get a stick that he can use for xbox 360 racing on xbox live. Most of his pals have moved up from the original xbox.
Thanks. Mike

Technically, the "PSX" the original system, and the "PS1" or "PSOne" is the tiny little white thing that flopped.
